The participation of the Saudi Arabian women delegation at the Regional Conference for Arab Women in the Maritime Sector‎ shed light on sustainable steps taken toward achieving gender equality at workplaces. TOTE Maritime Alaska contracted MAN PrimeServ, to convert two RORO vessels to dual-fuel operation on LNG. The ‘North Star’ and ‘Midnight Sun’ operate in the area of Anchorage, Alaska and Washington. During a meeting of global Navy Chiefs, IMO’s Chris Trelawny outlined the current transnational threats to shipping, highlighting that for effective maritime security, coordination and communication between all stakeholders are required. Mr. Koji Sekimizu, former IMO Sec-Gen, received the ‘International Maritime Prize’ for his contribution to the work of IMO over many years. Bahri Data, one of the six business units within Bahri, and DNV GL signed a contract in Hamburg, to co- develop and use their Big Data capabilities for safety, quality and compliance innovation.
